The Google Ads Money Finder
Google hides 20% of your money behind "Auto-Apply" settings that help them, not you. This guide helps you find it in under 2 minutes.
The "Fatal 10" Audit
Open your Google Ads account. Check these 10 buttons immediately. If they are ON, you are likely donating money to Google.
It puts your ads on random junk websites.
"You're selling high-end consulting, but your ad appears on a site for "free flash games" because a kid searched for "how to win.""
Don't show banner ads when people are searching for a solution.
"Someone is scrolling a cooking blog and sees your "SEO Audit" ad. They aren't in "buying mode," but they click by accident. You pay €5 for a misclick."
Otherwise, someone in another country "interested" in your city will see your ad.
"You target "Berlin," but someone in India searching for "Berlin weather" sees your ad and clicks it."
Never let the AI spend your money without asking.
"Google decides to "help" by adding a high-volume keyword like "business" to your niche campaign, burning through your daily budget by 10 AM."
If you have no "Negative Keywords," Broad Match is a vacuum for your budget.
"You bid on "running shoes," and Google shows your ad for "how to fix a running toilet.""
Exclude unless you specifically want people clicking while playing games.
"90% of your budget goes to toddlers accidentally clicking your ad while playing "Angry Birds" on their parents' phone."
They are "Black Boxes." You can't see what's happening.
"You spend €500, Google says you got "100 clicks," but you have 0 leads and no way to see which keywords actually triggered the ads."
Often bids way higher than your limit.
"You set a €2 limit, but Google bids €8 on a "high intent" click that doesn't convert, effectively cutting your traffic by 75%."
Google will show ads to people *similar* to your buyers. Usually, they are just "tourists."
"You target "CEOs," and Google expands it to "people who read business news"—which includes every entry-level employee in the country."
If you are a B2B business, you're likely paying for bot clicks at 3 AM.
"Your "Software Demo" ad gets 50 clicks between 2 AM and 5 AM. No one is booking a demo at 3 AM on a Tuesday. Those are bots."
The "Instant Firewall" (Copy & Paste)
Go to Tools > Negative Keyword Lists. Create a new list called "THE FIREWALL" and paste these 50 words in immediately.
Why this works (The Kid-Talk Version)
Google is like a friend who helps you shop but keeps the change.
They want you to click on everything because they get paid per click. We only want you to pay for the clicks that turn into money. By turning off these 10 buttons and adding these 50 words, you stop "donating" your profit and start winning.
